Way back in december 2010 i did a little write up on certain polo 6n in the making. Now many moons on, the little polo is seriously taking shape. With a clear vision of what he wants fromt he car, Joe’s decided on a few choice interior bits to far, 6n2 Dash and door cards, nice dishy wheel and a broadway mirror. I’m pretty convinced he’ll be running some nice buckets aswell…
now, the intresting bit. Take 3 ridiculously bright coloured spray cans, a 1.4 16v Lupo sport engine, and an Eaton M45 charger, and voila…
Awaiting a few more bits and pieces now, including a full custom mapped Emerald ECU and 15 x 8 Rota’s… but its looking to be a proper machine! Excuse the awful picture quality, i promise i’ll get over to lovely Derby (URGH) when its finished and treat it to some proper photographs!

So whats making everyone want a little japanese two seater roadster…
This particular one was imported from Japan in 2004, purchased by Rob late 2009. The car he says “was almost standard” now however is a completely different story. Many who went to Edition38 last summer will of seen this thing parked up, it caught my eye for sure. Sitting on some Ats Cups 15×9 et10 with 195/45′s on the rear, and 15×7 et-5 with 165/50′s on the front, sitting slammed to the floor and with that huge noticiable carbon rear wing and RS Active low profile headlights.
The 5 now sits on a set of Rota Grid V’s 15×8 et0 all round and 195/45 Toyo T1R’s, with 1.8 spec front brakes behind them. Stainless 4branch manifold & Decat leading to the stainless dual exit exhaust. All kept in check with some lovely HSD Coilovers…
Rob – “Just finished compiling parts for a 200+bhp turbo conversion including Greddy TD-04, Universal Intercoolers FMIC, Megasquirt ECU, Supra injectors and so on…” This sounds like its about to get interesting but for now…
So 2 hours before i was due to post, i got a call…
Rob – “Cambered A-road, 2 people in the car, over taking some cyclists, bumpy tarmac, catseyes, big noises, massive white smoke cloud, bad smells, oily puddles, bad times… “, “Well if you’re gonna do it… May as well do it properly…”

Attended Autosport International with my brother on Sunday, bargain Sunday! Was pretty good overall, nice mix of stuff throughout and plenty of automotive porn throughout. Highlights being the Recaro Stand, Burton Power, Sumo and the live show.
There was a section again for old group B rally cars like there was last year, this example of an RS200 caught my eye, and i managed to get a pretty nice photo of it. I used a Canon 400D, which pained me as a Nikon user, but needs must when my camera charger was miles away from Stoke.
The RS owners club stand was full of fresh OEM polished-ness. Including this Sierra Cosworth with lots of mirrors showing that pretty much they’re never driven anywhere as ford intended…shame.
Tidy Rocco on the KW suspension stand, pulling off super T’s like it was made in the 90′s!
This Camper had a lot of attention over the weekend, sporting a massive V8 dragster engine, roof chop and amazing paintwork! I have many more photos which will make an appearance on here at some point hopefully! Good Weekend, followed by an asbo blast to Cannock and back, more on that in another post too.
