This is Tim’s Mk1 Golf Gti.

Found it tucked up on his driveway, on FK coliovers way back in Novemeber. Had a hectic couple of months so apologies for the lack of content and all the rest of it… and happy new year un’all, anyway…

Yep, made him get her out for some photographs. Now the golf is sat on our own Mr Walkers old 15 x 7 Porsche Cookie Cutters from his DIY polo build along with only the best Nankang 165/45 tyres, and dope centre lock style centre caps too.

Inside is straight down to business, the already minimal Mk1 interior has been thinned out even more, and a half cage fitted. Mk3 Golf Recaros’ and 3 point harnesses hold you well in place, and the dished wheel works a treat when getting hammer down the lanes…. on private land of course.

To help with propulsion to orginal 8v has been pulled and replaced with an rebuilt ABF unit, fitted with a 4 branch manifold and stainless system, KR Cams and a couple of other cheeky bits and bobs…. doesn’t go too bad either, believe me.

Now since i took these photographs a few cold months ago, the cars been undergoing some work. Look out for it in the 2012 show fields. Plans include itbs, track wheels, further weight reduction and even a bit of body work here and there.

top bloke.
